Mayank Yadav, a fast bowler for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), recently made a comeback to competitive cricket in the IPL 2025 after recovering from a back injury. However, he was forced to miss the last leg of the tournament due to another back injury. To address this ongoing issue, Mayank is reportedly planning to follow the recovery route taken by Jasprit Bumrah, who consulted with specialists in New Zealand for his own back injury.

Mayank, who was retained by LSG ahead of the mega auction, played two matches in the IPL this year before being sidelined with the injury. He is now set to travel to New Zealand for medical consultations and potential surgery to address his back problems. Following in Bumrah’s footsteps, who also faced a back injury earlier this year, Mayank hopes to make a successful recovery and return to the field stronger than ever.
