In another disappointing match for the Chennai Super Kings, Sarfaraz Khan stood out with a stellar performance. After his quickfire 32 runs in the previous game against Punjab Kings, Sarfaraz smashed a 25-ball half-century with eight boundaries and two sixes against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2026. His impressive knock caught the attention of Virat Kohli.

Chennai struggled at 30 for 3 early in their innings, but Sarfaraz’s aggressive batting helped them reach 77 at the end of the powerplay. However, he was dismissed soon after by Krunal Pandya. Kohli applauded Sarfaraz for his innings as he walked back to the pavilion.

On the other hand, RCB posted a massive target of 251 runs, thanks to Devdutt Padikkal and Tim David’s explosive batting. Despite Sarfaraz’s efforts and partnerships with Prashant Veer and Jamie Overton, Chennai fell short of the target and suffered their third consecutive defeat of the season.

CSK will now face Delhi Capitals in their next match after a four-day break.
