Veteran Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is on the verge of achieving a historic feat in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He will become the 12th player in IPL history to feature in 200 matches, a milestone no fast bowler has reached before. Bhuvneshwar’s teammate, Virat Kohli, praised his longevity, intelligence, and consistency, ranking him among the top three fast bowlers in IPL history.

Bhuvneshwar, known for his swing bowling skills, has taken 215 wickets in 199 matches, making him the only fast bowler to surpass the 200-wicket mark in the IPL. He has won two IPL titles and holds the record for the most dot balls bowled in the tournament. In the current season, Bhuvneshwar has already taken 17 wickets in nine games for Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he was bought for INR 10.75 crore last season.

His impressive performances have helped RCB in their quest for the IPL title, with Bhuvneshwar leading the bowling attack with an economy rate of 7.54 and currently holding the Purple Cap for the most wickets in the season. Kohli commended Bhuvneshwar’s understanding of the game and his ability to deliver under pressure, making him a reliable asset for any team.
