The Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants Indian Premier League 2025 fixture, originally scheduled to take place at the Eden Gardens on April 6, has been relocated to Guwahati. This decision was made after the Kolkata Police and local authorities informed the Cricket Association of Bengal that they would not be able to provide adequate security for the match due to Ram Navami celebrations taking place on the same day.

Sources have revealed that due to a tight schedule, rescheduling the fixture was not feasible. As a result, the game was moved to Guwahati, which will also host two home games for the Rajasthan Royals on March 26 and 30.

A source within the BCCI confirmed that once the formal request from the CAB was received, it was determined that shifting the match was the best option available. This situation is reminiscent of last year when a similar conflict with Ram Navami led to a rescheduling of a KKR match.

Following the relocation, Kolkata Knight Riders will face off against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on April 11, while Lucknow Super Giants will host the Gujarat Titans at home on April 12. The decision to move the fixture to Guwahati ensures that the match can proceed smoothly without any security concerns.
