Josh Hazlewood has faced a frustrating six months due to a hamstring injury he sustained in November 2025, causing him to miss out on important matches like the Ashes and T20 World Cup. Now, as he focuses on helping his IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, retain their title, he is gradually regaining full fitness.

Despite missing out on games for Australia, Hazlewood understands the importance of managing his workload as he gets older. He believes in sticking to his traditional bowling methodology, which has proven effective across formats.

Hazlewood, along with teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar, has been instrumental in RCB’s success in the IPL. Their complementary bowling styles provide the team with balance and early breakthroughs. Hazlewood credits the team’s improved performance to the experience and calmness within the franchise, led by coach Andy Flower.

As Hazlewood looks forward to the business end of the tournament, he remains confident in his team’s ability to perform well. Despite facing setbacks, he is determined to make a strong comeback and contribute to RCB’s success in the IPL.
