Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma starred with the ball as Punjab Kings were bundled out for just 101 runs in 14.1 overs in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The collapse of Punjab Kings was attributed to their poor shot selection, as none of the batters managed to make an impact. Wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma sealed Punjab’s fate with a stunning catch off the bowling of Hazlewood. This total of 101 is the joint third-lowest in IPL playoffs history, highlighting Punjab’s batting woes. It is also Punjab’s lowest all-out total after two previous scores of 73 and 88. The match also saw the fewest overs batted by any team in a playoff game. The result puts Punjab Kings in a difficult position, as only one team has successfully defended a total of less than 140 in an IPL playoff match.
