Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved a convincing 42-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2025 match at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow. Ishan Kishan played a stellar innings, scoring an unbeaten 94 off just 48 deliveries, including seven fours and five sixes. The opening partnership of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma set the tone for SRH with a 54-run stand, captivating the audience with their aggressive strokeplay. Abhishek Sharma’s audacious shots, including a six over extra cover and a scooped boundary to fine leg, entertained the crowd and helped him reach 4000 T20 runs.
Klaasen and Aniket Verma also made valuable contributions to SRH’s total, with Klaasen smashing a couple of massive sixes and Aniket hitting three consecutive sixes down the ground. However, it was Ishan Kishan who stole the show with his calculated hitting at the death overs, displaying a wide range of shots including a one-handed six reminiscent of Rishabh Pant.
In response, Phil Salt’s aggressive innings of 62 off 32 balls was the highlight of RCB’s chase. Salt’s ability to stay deep in the crease and generate power in his shots was evident in his six over long off off a short ball. Despite Salt’s efforts, RCB fell short of the target set by SRH.
Overall, it was a thrilling match with some exceptional performances from both teams, but ultimately it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who emerged victorious with a dominant display of batting prowess.
