Bengaluru Traffic Police issued an advisory ahead of the first Indian Premier League 2026 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The police urged citizens not to gather near the stadium without valid match tickets to ensure smooth movement on match day. Traffic restrictions will be enforced from 3 pm to 12 am around key roads near the stadium. Parking has been restricted on major roads like Queens Road, MG Road, and Anil Kumble Circle, with designated parking zones at specific locations. Pick-up and drop-off points for autos and cabs have been organized to streamline traffic near the venue. Public transport is encouraged to reduce pressure on roads. Additionally, commuters are advised to plan their travel in advance and avoid congestion-prone areas. RCB and SRH will be without their main fast bowlers, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, who are recovering from injuries. Both players have joined their teams in India but may need more time to regain full fitness before playing in the IPL 2026 matches.
