India conducted airstrikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22, resulting in the death of 26 civilians. The targeted sites included Bahawalpur, a stronghold of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist group, and Muridke, the base of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) organization.

Following the airstrikes, Pakistan’s military retaliated by attempting to strike military targets in Northern and Western India, specifically targeting Adampur, Bhatinda, and Chandigarh. However, the Indian defence establishment successfully foiled these attempts. In response to Pakistan’s actions, the Lahore Air Defence system was neutralized by Indian forces.

The situation between India and Pakistan remains tense as both countries engage in military actions and counteractions. The airstrikes and attempted retaliation highlight the ongoing conflict and tensions between the two nations. The Indian government has stated that these actions were necessary in order to combat terrorism and protect its citizens from further attacks. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, urging both countries to exercise restraint and work towards peaceful resolution of their disputes.
