Hardik Pandya, captain of Mumbai Indians, showed great courage during a match against Rajasthan Royals despite carrying an injury. Prior to the game, Pandya was struck in the eye by a ball during a training session, requiring seven stitches. Despite this, he played wearing special protective glasses and put on a stellar performance. Batting at no.4, Pandya scored a quick 48 off 23 deliveries, including six boundaries and one six. He also contributed with the ball, taking a wicket and helping MI secure a huge 100-run victory over RR.
Suryakumar Yadav also shone in the match, scoring an unbeaten 48 off 23 balls and partnering with Pandya to add 97 runs in just 44 balls. The Royals struggled in response and were bowled out for 117 runs. MI’s bowlers supported the batters well, showcasing a complete team effort.
With this win, MI now leads the IPL 2025 points table with seven wins in 11 matches and 14 points. Their dominant performance against RR has put them ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore on Net Run Rate. It was a remarkable display of skill and determination from Pandya and the rest of the Mumbai Indians team.
