Gujarat Titans is vying to join the elite club of teams that have won multiple IPL titles as they gear up to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Despite being one of the newest teams in the IPL, GT has shown remarkable consistency, making it to the final for the third time in just five seasons, with a playoffs appearance in 2025.
Their inaugural season in the IPL saw them clinch the title by defeating Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Although they couldn’t replicate their success in 2023, losing to Chennai Super Kings in the final, GT has established themselves as a formidable team in a short span of time.
In their previous finals appearances, Sai Sudharsan emerged as a key player for GT, scoring 96 runs in one innings and registering the highest individual score of 96 off 47 balls against CSK in IPL 2023. Hardik Pandya also made significant contributions with the ball, taking three wickets in two innings and boasting the best bowling figures of 3/17 against RR in IPL 2022.
As they prepare to take on RCB in the final showdown, Gujarat Titans will be looking to add another title to their name and solidify their position as a dominant force in the IPL. The match promises to be an exciting clash between two fierce contenders, with GT aiming to etch their name in IPL history once again.
