Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming has praised young Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj, stating that he is well-suited for English conditions ahead of India’s upcoming Test tour. Kamboj, who has impressed with his pace in IPL 2025, has been selected for India A’s red-ball matches in England, a crucial opportunity before the five-match series.

Fleming’s endorsement came after Kamboj’s impressive performance against Rajasthan Royals, where he took the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. The coach highlighted Kamboj’s deceptive pace, ability to hit the seam, and knack for making the ball move unpredictably.

Fleming emphasized Kamboj’s potential to excel on England’s early-season pitches, especially with a bit of seam and swing. The youngster has also gained approval from CSK captain MS Dhoni for his mental strength and control in varying conditions.

Kamboj’s exceptional form in the IPL and his historic performance in the Ranji Trophy, where he took all ten wickets in an innings, have solidified his reputation as a promising talent. Fleming believes that Kamboj has the instinctive skills necessary to succeed in challenging conditions, making him a valuable asset for India’s Test squad.
