Lucknow Super Giants may be struggling at the bottom of the IPL 2026 table, but bowling coach Bharat Arun remains optimistic about their chances. He believes that there is still hope for the team and every game from now on is like a knockout match for them.

Despite only managing two wins from eight matches, the team’s bowlers – Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, and Mohsin Khan – have been performing well, collectively taking 29 wickets. However, the batting department has been a major letdown, with captain Rishabh Pant only scoring 189 runs in eight matches.

Arun is not concerned about Pant’s form or his hefty price tag of Rs. 27 crore, citing his match-winning innings against SRH as proof of his capabilities. He believes that Pant is just one good innings away from regaining his form.

Arun also expressed his satisfaction with the bowlers’ performances, stating that he would be happy if Prince and Mohsin earn spots in the Indian team. He mentioned that Mayank Yadav is ready to return to the team, but his comeback depends on the team management’s decision.

Overall, Arun remains positive about Lucknow Super Giants’ chances and emphasizes the importance of focusing on their performance in the remaining matches. Published on May 03, 2026.
