The Royal Challengers Bangalore clinched their first IPL title in the 18th edition of the league. Alongside captain Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma played a crucial role in the victory. In a post on Instagram after the win, Jitesh shared a manifestation he had written in the dressing room back in March. The note described holding the trophy with Virat on his left and Dinesh Karthik on his right, hitting a six in the final when the team needed 6 runs in 2 balls. This dream became a reality as RCB lifted the trophy, with Jitesh fulfilling his vision from months earlier. Although he didn’t end the match with a six, Jitesh’s quickfire 24 off 10 balls contributed to RCB’s total of 190/9, which they successfully defended against Punjab Kings. While Kohli anchored the innings with 43 runs, it was Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar who played crucial roles in securing the win. The victory was a culmination of years of hard work and determination, as expressed by both Kohli and Jitesh in their respective Instagram posts.
