Chennai Super Kings have announced the replacement for injured player Khaleel Ahmed in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Delhi left-arm pacer Kuldip Yadav has been named as the replacement for Khaleel. Similarly, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have brought in Englishman Richard Gleeson to fill in for Nuwan Thushara, who is also out due to injury.
Kuldip Yadav will join CSK for a fee of Rs. 30 lakh, while Gleeson will be joining RCB for a fee of Rs. 1.6 crore. Kuldip made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and has played three games for the franchise. On the other hand, Gleeson has represented his country in six T20I games and has taken nine wickets.
Gleeson has previously played for CSK and Mumbai Indians in the 2024 and 2025 editions of the IPL. He featured in two games for CSK and one for Mumbai Indians during those seasons.
The IPL statement confirming these replacements was released on May 15, 2026. Both teams will be hoping that the new additions will strengthen their squads as they continue to compete in the IPL.
