The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organized a special Vande Bharat train to transport players and the broadcast team safely from Dharamshala to Delhi. The match was stopped after just 10.1 overs, with PBKS batting at 122 for 1. Pakistan launched eight missiles targeting Indian areas, all of which were intercepted successfully. As a safety measure, blackouts were enforced in several areas to protect civilians during the heightened alert. The Indian government had launched Operation Sindoor in response to a previous terror attack, conducting precision strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoJK. India has warned of a strong response to any attacks on its military bases.
