With the IPL 2026 final approaching, Bengaluru Metro authorities have clarified that there will be no free travel for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans on May 31. The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) stated that no scheme offering free metro travel for RCB supporters or any other category of passengers has been approved for that day. Passengers are reminded to purchase valid tickets or use authorized fare products for travel on Namma Metro.

BMRCL also warned commuters to ignore misleading claims circulating on social media and to verify information only through official communications. Meanwhile, Bengaluru Traffic Police issued an advisory ahead of the final, announcing strict enforcement measures against drunken driving and reckless behavior. Victory celebrations on public roads are prohibited, and actions like overspeeding, wheeling, and excessive honking will be penalized.

Authorities emphasized the importance of following traffic signals and instructions for smooth traffic movement and public safety. The public is urged to cooperate with the Traffic Police to ensure a safe and orderly environment during the event.
