The newly crowned Indian Premier League champions, Royal Challengers Bangalore, will be honored at their home ground, Chinnaswamy Stadium, on Wednesday evening. RCB secured their first IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) announced a special felicitation ceremony for the team from 5 to 6 PM at the stadium. Despite plans for a victory parade being met with a roadblock, fans gathered outside the stadium in anticipation of the celebrations. Virat Kohli, star player of RCB, was welcomed by Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar at the airport. The team’s arrival at the stadium was captured in live scenes from Bengaluru. The trophy was lifted by RCB captain Rajat Patidar after an 18-year wait. The event was reduced to a felicitation ceremony due to a social media post from the Bengaluru Traffic Police. Overall, the city of Bengaluru was buzzing with excitement as the victorious team was celebrated for their historic win.
