The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the first 16 days of the IPL 2026 season. The tournament will kick off with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 28 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This season will see the return of Virat Kohli and Pat Cummins to competitive cricket. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will begin their campaign on March 30 against the Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati. Other key matches include Mumbai Indians facing Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29 and Punjab Kings taking on Gujarat Titans on March 31. The IPL schedule was delayed due to upcoming elections, with the second half of the schedule to be confirmed later. RCB will play their home matches in Bengaluru after receiving clearance from the Karnataka government. The first half of the IPL 2026 schedule includes exciting matchups like RCB vs CSK and MI vs RCB. Matches in Bengaluru are subject to approval from the Expert Committee.
