In a stunning display of fearless hitting, 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre hammered veteran bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 26 runs in a single over during a CSK run-chase. Mhatre wasted no time, hitting boundaries on all six deliveries, leaving Bhuvneshwar clueless and under pressure. Despite a quick word from teammate Jitesh Sharma, Mhatre continued to find gaps in the field and smashed a massive six followed by three more boundaries in the over. Bhuvneshwar, once known for his accuracy and control, was unable to contain Mhatre’s onslaught, as the teenager finished the over with a lofted shot for another four.

Earlier in the game, Romario Shepherd had unleashed carnage by smashing the second-fastest fifty in IPL history, scoring 33 runs off Khaleel Ahmed’s over before continuing to hit boundaries off other bowlers. RCB managed to post a massive total of 213/5 in 20 overs, with contributions from Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell. Pathirana was the only bowler to have some success, taking three wickets in his four overs. Overall, Mhatre’s explosive over and Shepherd’s aggressive batting set the stage for an exciting match.
