Tiger Woods was found with bloodshot and glassy eyes, dilated pupils, and hydrocodone pills in his pocket at the scene of his car crash in Florida, according to a police report released on Tuesday. The report stated that Woods appeared slow and lethargic, sweating, and admitted to taking prescription medication earlier that morning. Deputies found hydrocodone pills in his pocket, and Woods mentioned he had taken a few prescription medications.

Woods confessed to deputies that he had been distracted by his phone and radio before clipping a truck in front of him while driving at high speeds on a residential road in Jupiter Island. The incident resulted in $5,000 in damage to the truck, but no injuries were reported. Woods agreed to a Breathalyzer test, which showed no signs of alcohol, but he refused a urine test and was arrested for driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He was released on bail eight hours later.

Woods’ agent and the PGA Tour have not commented on the incident. Woods, who has been involved in other crashes in the past, faces charges under Florida law for refusing a test, which is now considered a misdemeanor even for a first offense. The incident was published on Mar 31, 2026.
