The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction for the 2025 season is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. A total of 574 players will be up for grabs during the auction, with three players from Zimbabwe included in the final pool. The Zimbabwean players in question are Sikandar Raza, Blessing Muzarabani, and Richard Ngarava.
Sikandar Raza, who currently serves as the captain of the Zimbabwe national team, is the only player among the trio who has previously featured in the IPL. He represented Punjab Kings (PBKS) for two seasons, playing a total of nine games and scoring 182 runs while also picking up three wickets.
On the other hand, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava, both fast bowlers, have extensive experience in T20 cricket. Muzarabani has played 61 T20Is and taken 71 wickets, while Ngarava has played 60 matches and has 72 scalps to his name.
In the upcoming IPL auction, Sikandar Raza has set his base price at Rs. 1.25 crores, while both Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava have set their base prices at Rs. 75 lakhs each. With their impressive records and skills, these Zimbabwean players are expected to attract significant interest from IPL franchises during the auction.
