Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged 14, made history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by becoming the youngest player to score a half-century off just 17 balls while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. He also recorded the fastest fifty of the IPL 2025 season, stunning the opposition. Suryavanshi showed no mercy to senior bowlers like Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, hitting boundaries and sixes with ease. He eventually scored 101 runs off 38 balls, becoming the youngest centurion in IPL history.

Replacing the injured Sanju Samson, Suryavanshi made an impact in his debut season for Rajasthan Royals. In previous matches, he scored 34 and 16 runs, showcasing his talent early on. In the match against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan posted a total of 209/4, with Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler also contributing with half-centuries. Gill scored 84 runs while Buttler remained unbeaten on 50. Maheesha Theekshana impressed with two wickets for Rajasthan. Overall, Suryavanshi’s remarkable performance will be remembered as a standout moment in IPL history.
