Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young opener for the Rajasthan Royals, made history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by becoming the youngest batter to score a fifty. At just 14 years and 32 days old, Suryavanshi achieved this milestone during a match against the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 season. He reached his fifty in just 17 balls, hitting a four against Washington Sundar over extra cover.
This impressive feat broke the previous record held by his teammate Riyan Parag, who was 17 years and 175 days old when he scored a fifty against the Delhi Capitals in 2019. Suryavanshi’s fifty not only set a new record for the IPL 2025 season but also stands as the fastest fifty scored by a teenager in the history of the tournament.
In a list of the youngest batters to score a fifty in the IPL, Suryavanshi now holds the top spot, followed by Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson of the Rajasthan Royals, Prithvi Shaw of the Delhi Daredevils, and another player from the Delhi Daredevils. Suryavanshi’s remarkable achievement has solidified his place in IPL history and showcases his talent and potential as a young cricketer.
