Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, and Jacob Bethell’s participation in the IPL 2025 playoffs is uncertain as they have been named in England’s ODI squad for the series against West Indies. The BCCI announced the IPL season’s revised schedule after the tournament was suspended due to tensions between India and Pakistan. The tournament will resume on May 17, with the final now scheduled for June 3. However, the IPL playoffs will clash with the ODI series between England and West Indies starting May 29.

The trio is expected to return to India for the league stage of IPL 2025 but will need fresh NOCs from the ECB to participate in the playoffs. If they play in the playoffs, they will miss the ODI series against West Indies. Gujarat Titans, RCB, and Mumbai Indians are likely to make it to the playoffs. Phil Salt is expected to be available for RCB as he is not part of the ODI squad.

Buttler has been in exceptional form for Gujarat Titans, while Jacks and Bethell have also performed well. The ECB had initially issued NOCs till May 25, but with the tournament extended, players need fresh approvals. Salt, who missed games due to illness, is expected to be back for RCB.
