Tim David of Royal Challengers Bengaluru brought smiles to fans as he was spotted swimming across the ground covers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium amidst rain disrupting the team’s training session before their match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The Australian batter’s playful act was met with laughter, applause, and cheers from his teammates upon returning to the dressing room. The video of the moment went viral online, showcasing David’s fun-loving nature off the field.
Despite his playful antics, David’s performance on the field has been impressive this season. Acquired for INR 3 crore at the 2025 mega auction, the 29-year-old has scored 186 runs in 11 matches at an average of 93, with a striking rate of 193.75. His unbeaten 50 against Punjab Kings highlighted his prowess in the middle order.
RCB is currently in a strong position, sitting second on the points table with 16 points from 11 matches. A victory over KKR would secure their spot in the playoffs as they aim for their first IPL title. The tournament resumes after a week-long suspension due to military tensions between India and Pakistan, with the final now scheduled for June 3.
