The Sydney Sixers will be facing a depleted Hobart Hurricanes team in tonight’s Challenger BBL final at the SCG. The winner of this match will secure a spot in the final against the Scorchers in Perth on Sunday night.
Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, their captain Nathan Ellis has been ruled out for the rest of BBL15 due to a hamstring injury. Another key player, Chris Jordan, is also in doubt for tonight’s game after missing the last match against the Stars.
On the other hand, the Sixers will be without Babar Azam, who has returned to Pakistan to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. There have been rumors of a disagreement between Azam and Steve Smith, but ultimately Azam’s departure was his own decision.
Dan Hughes is expected to replace Azam at the top of the order for the Sixers. The match is scheduled to start at 7:15pm AEDT.
