Rishabh Pant, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, faced a frustrating day during a match against Delhi Capitals. Despite the team’s strong start, Pant was sent in to bat at No.7 with only two balls left in the innings. His attempts to score runs were unsuccessful, and he ended up getting out in a disappointing manner. Former cricketers Anil Kumble and Suresh Raina observed Pant’s frustration and speculated that it was due to his late entry into the game. Pant was seen having an animated discussion with mentor Zaheer Khan in the dugout, expressing his desire to bat higher up the order. Kumble advised Pant to channel his frustration positively as the team’s captain. Unfortunately, LSG collapsed to 159/6 and DC easily chased down the target. Pant acknowledged the need to rethink their batting approach for future matches. Overall, it was a forgettable day for LSG and Pant as they faced a disappointing defeat against DC.
