At the Indian Premier League 2026 Auction in Abu Dhabi, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping Rs. 13 crore. Despite facing tough competition from Lucknow Super Giants, SRH managed to secure Livingstone after he initially went unsold.
Known for his power-hitting abilities, Livingstone boasts an impressive career T20 strike rate of 145.06. He was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s victorious campaign in 2025, although his individual performance was modest with 112 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 133.33 and one half-century. He also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets in nine overs at an economy rate of 8.44.
Following the IPL, Livingstone’s form in white-ball cricket has been exceptional. He led Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred, finishing as the team’s top run-scorer with 241 runs at a strike rate of 155.48 and also picked up seven wickets at an economy of 7.36. In the T20 Blast, he scored 260 runs at a strike rate of 176.87 and took six wickets as Lancashire made it to the semifinals.
