Bengaluru: After Gujarat Titans’ victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru, opener Sai Sudharsan praised pacer Mohammed Siraj for his outstanding performance. Sudharsan highlighted Siraj’s impact on the team, stating that his “attitude and energy” can change the game. Siraj impressed with a three-wicket haul against his former team, helping GT secure an eight-wicket win while chasing 170.
In a video featuring batting coach Parthiv Patel, Sudharsan expressed his belief in Siraj’s game-changing abilities. He also shared his satisfaction with his own batting contribution, scoring 49 runs off 36 balls. Sudharsan, currently the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament, emphasized the importance of contributing to the team’s success.
Sudharsan also praised the team environment, describing it as a close-knit family. In the match, RCB posted 169/8 after being put to bat first by GT. Despite losing their skipper early in the chase, GT’s strong performances from Jos Buttler, Sudharsan, and Sherfane Rutherford secured the victory with 13 balls to spare. Siraj was named the ‘Player of the Match’ for his impressive spell. Both teams currently hold four points each in the points table, with RCB in third place and GT following closely behind.
