Starc mentioned that facing left-handers was unexpected as his bowling angle favored right-handed batters. The decision by RR’s head coach Rahul Dravid did not work out as planned. Starc expressed his surprise at this strategy and credited his team’s batting depth for the win.
The victory propelled DC to the top of the IPL 2025 points table with five wins in six matches. RR, on the other hand, are struggling at the eighth position with only two wins. Axar Patel’s captaincy has been a positive change for DC, who let go of Rishabh Pant before the mega-auction.
