Sunrisers Hyderabad has finalized the list of retained and released players in preparation for the upcoming IPL 2026 mini-auction. The team had a disappointing season in 2025, finishing in sixth place with six wins out of 14 matches, falling short of a playoff spot.
Among the players released by SRH are Mohammed Shami, Adam Zampa, Rahul Chahar, Wiaan Mulder, Abhinav Manohar, Atharva Taide, and Sachin Baby. On the other hand, the team has retained a strong core of players including captain Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan.
The team’s purse for the upcoming auction stands at Rs. 25.50 crore, providing them with the opportunity to strengthen their squad with new additions. The retained players list also includes Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harsh Dubey, Kamindu Mendis, Harshal Patel, Brydon Carse, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, and Zeeshan Ansari.
The deadline for submitting the list of retained and released players to the BCCI was November 15, 2025. With the auction approaching, SRH will be looking to make strategic moves to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.
