Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) showcased their dominance by scoring a massive total of 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Ishan Kishan’s explosive knock of 106 off 47 balls and Travis Head’s aggressive 67 off 31 balls set the tone for SRH’s onslaught. The duo, along with contributions from Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy, left the RR bowlers struggling, with Jofra Archer conceding a record-breaking 76 runs in his four overs.
SRH’s batting display included a blistering powerplay where Head and Abhishek Sharma raced to 94/1 in six overs. Kishan continued the momentum and reached his fifty in just 25 balls before going on a rampage against Archer. SRH fell just short of their own record for the highest IPL total, finishing at 286.
The innings also saw SRH setting records for the second-highest total in IPL history and becoming the team with the most 250+ totals in T20 cricket. Archer’s bowling figures of 0/76 were the most expensive in IPL history, while Klaasen became the second-fastest player to reach 1000 runs in the league. The match was a display of SRH’s batting prowess and set the stage for more fireworks in the tournament.
