SunRisers Hyderabad, led by Pat Cummins, is considering moving out of Hyderabad for their IPL 2025 matches due to alleged intimidation and coercion by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). The franchise has expressed displeasure over the HCA’s demands for free tickets and hostile behavior towards them. SunRisers’ general manager, Srinath TB, has written to the HCA treasurer, stating that they will not tolerate such unprofessional conduct.

The dispute escalated after the HCA locked up a box allocated to them on match day, demanding additional complimentary tickets. SunRisers highlighted that they pay rent for the stadium and have faced constant harassment from the HCA in recent years.

The franchise has requested a meeting with the apex council members to address the issue and resolve the matter as per their signed agreement for ticket allocation. They have emphasized that the ongoing threats and coercion from the HCA have created a hostile environment, making cooperation difficult. SunRisers has played two matches in Hyderabad so far in the IPL season, with the situation leading them to consider relocating their home matches to another venue.
