The Sunrisers Hyderabad team started off IPL 2025 on a high note by scoring a record 286/6 in their opening game, but have since struggled to reach 200 runs in their next four matches. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar compared their batting performance to youngsters in fancy cars speeding through red lights without getting caught. He mentioned that the opposition teams have figured out SRH’s aggressive approach and have been bowling slower deliveries to counter it effectively. This tactic has resulted in SRH’s top three batsmen failing to make significant contributions in their recent matches. Gavaskar emphasized the need for SRH’s batters to find a new strategy to break through the opposition’s defenses and start winning matches again. Currently at the bottom of the points table, SRH will face Punjab Kings in their upcoming match.
