Sanju Samson has been given the green light to resume his role as captain of the Rajasthan Royals after recovering from a fractured right index finger. The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru cleared Samson to return to wicketkeeping duties following surgery on his finger.

Due to his injury, Samson was unable to keep wickets for the first three matches of the Rajasthan Royals, and Riyan Parag was appointed as the stand-in captain in his absence. Samson recently traveled to Bengaluru from Guwahati for an assessment, and after the evaluation, he was deemed fit to resume wicketkeeping for the team.

The Centre of Excellence communicated this decision to both Samson and the Rajasthan Royals, allowing him to take up his role as wicketkeeper in the upcoming match against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. Samson’s return as captain will be a boost for the team as they look to secure victories in the upcoming matches.

With Samson back in the lineup, the Rajasthan Royals will be hoping to improve their performance and climb up the standings in the Indian Premier League. His leadership and wicketkeeping skills will be crucial for the team as they aim to make a strong push for a playoff spot. Fans of the Rajasthan Royals will be eagerly anticipating Samson’s return to action and the impact he can make on the team’s fortunes.
