In the IPL 2025 season, the topic of ‘home advantage’ has been a point of contention among teams. Some teams have expressed dissatisfaction with pitch curators when they did not receive their preferred pitch while hosting games. However, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has taken a different approach, stating that he does not pay attention to this discussion. He mentioned that he had cut out all social media a month before the IPL season and therefore was not aware of the media’s discussions. Samson emphasized that both teams play on the same pitch and the key is to play smarter and score one run more than the opponent.

In regards to his experience as an Impact Player due to injury, Samson expressed surprise at missing out on three games but saw it as a learning opportunity to view the game from a different perspective. Meanwhile, PBKS spin-bowling coach Sunil Joshi chose to focus on the positives of the current season rather than dwelling on their poor record at the venue in the previous year. He highlighted the team’s strong start away from home and expressed the desire to maintain the momentum going forward. Last year’s history is behind them, and they are focused on performing well in the current season.
