Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) showcased their commitment to sustainability by donning green jerseys made from recycled fabric for their IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur. The initiative is part of the franchise’s broader efforts to raise awareness about conservation and environmental protection. The green jerseys, which are made from 95% textile and polyester waste, can be recycled multiple times without losing quality thanks to Puma’s ReFibre Fabric.

Rajesh Menon, COO of RCB, emphasized the importance of being bold both on and off the pitch, stating that the green jerseys serve as a call to action for fans. The team, representing the Garden City, prioritizes sustainability and aims to use their cultural and social influence to inspire others to take steps towards conservation.

RCB has been promoting sustainability since 2011 and has worn the green jerseys in 14 matches. In the previous IPL season, they also sported the green kit in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The initiative reflects RCB’s commitment to making a positive impact both on the field and in the community.
