Rajasthan Royals have announced their list of retained and released players in preparation for the IPL 2026 mini-auction on December 16. Following a challenging 2025 season that saw them finish second from bottom with only four wins in 14 matches, the team has made significant changes to their squad. Former captain Sanju Samson has been traded to Chennai Super Kings, while they have acquired Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran through trades.

The players released by Rajasthan Royals include Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Kunal Singh Rathore, Akash Madhwal, Kumar Kartikeya, and Ashok Sharma.

On the other hand, the players retained by the team are Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Donovan Ferreira, Sandeep Sharma, Shubham Dubey, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Lhuan-Dre Pretorius, Shimron Hetmyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Kwena Maphaka, and Nandre Burger.

As of now, Rajasthan Royals have a remaining purse of Rs. 16.05 crore and 9 slots left, including 1 overseas slot. The list of retained and released players was submitted before the November 15 deadline set by the BCCI.
