The IPL 2025 season is set to resume with a match between RCB and KKR at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, but rain threatens to disrupt the game. Accuweather predicts heavy showers and thunderstorms in Bengaluru, with the IMD forecasting rain around 8-9 PM IST. The city has a good drainage system, but a previous drizzle resulted in a reduced overs match between RCB and Punjab Kings. If the RCB vs KKR match is abandoned, KKR will be eliminated from the playoffs race as they currently have 11 points with two games remaining. RCB, on the other hand, has 16 points and an abandoned match would give them one point, taking their tally to 17 points. RCB has two more fixtures remaining after the KKR match. The two teams previously faced off in the IPL 2025 season opener, where RCB emerged victorious. If the match gets washed out, RCB will have to wait to secure their spot in the playoffs.
