The impending resumption of the IPL may face a delay due to bad weather in Bengaluru, potentially affecting the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders. Heavy showers and flooding have already been reported in Bangalore, with the forecast indicating a high chance of rain during the game on Saturday evening.
According to AccuWeather, the precipitation chances increase throughout the afternoon, reaching a peak of 58% at 5 PM, right around the time of the toss at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The stadium’s advanced drainage system will be put to the test as the likelihood of rain rises to 71% by 7 PM.
Despite a decrease in rain probabilities later in the night, there is still a risk of a washout, similar to what Kolkata Knight Riders experienced earlier in the tournament. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the IPL and hoping for a full match to unfold without any weather interruptions. Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans, in particular, have additional reasons to cheer for a win as it could secure their team’s spot in the playoffs.
