Sairaj Bahutule, a former India international cricketer, has been appointed as the spin bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 52-year-old is returning to the Royals after previously being a part of the team from 2018-21.
Expressing his excitement about rejoining the franchise, Bahutule said, “Joining Rajasthan Royals again is a tremendous honor. The franchise’s commitment to nurturing talent and playing an exciting brand of cricket resonates with my own coaching philosophy. I am eager to work alongside Rahul Dravid and the rest of the coaching staff to develop our bowling attack and contribute to the team’s success. Together, we aim to achieve great milestones in the forthcoming season.”
Bahutule has an impressive record in First-Class cricket, with over 630 wickets and 6,000 runs to his name. He also represented India in two Tests and eight ODIs before transitioning into a successful coaching career. He has previously mentored teams such as Mumbai, Bengal, Kerala, and the Indian National Men’s Team.
