Former Team India head coach Rahul Dravid, now associated with Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, recently attended a Girls Cup event organized by the franchise. During the event, he was seen spending time at the crease as girls bowled to him. Some girls managed to impress Dravid by beating him with the pink ball, and he was seen praising them and posing with them at the presentation ceremony.

The video of the event was shared by Rajasthan Royals’ official account, showing Dravid acknowledging the young girls’ efforts. The caption read, “Hey maa and paa, I just won the Girls Cup, bowled to Rahul Dravid and he took a moment to pause and clap for me too!”

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had organized the Royals Cricket Cup 2024, a large inter-school competition for girls. The grand finale was attended by Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Neeraj K Pawan, and Dravid. The CEO of Rajasthan Royals, Jake Lush McCrum, expressed his joy at the event’s success, highlighting the dedication to empowering young girls through cricket.

Dravid, in his role as head coach of Rajasthan Royals, praised the passion and determination of the young girls playing at the event, emphasizing the bright future of women’s cricket in India. He also commended the participants for their hard work and spirit.

Dravid recently stepped down as the coach of the India senior men’s team after a successful tenure that saw India win the T20 World Cup and reach the finals of the 2023 World Test Championship and ODI World Cup. His involvement in events like the Girls Cup and the Royals Cricket Cup reflects his commitment to nurturing young talent in cricket.
