The 11th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to take place in April and May 2026, potentially overlapping with the Indian Premier League (IPL) once again. This could also lead to the rescheduling of Pakistan’s series against Zimbabwe.
Reports suggest that if the current format of the league remains unchanged and two new teams are introduced, the number of matches will increase by 20, extending the tournament’s duration.
Discussions surrounding the 11th edition of PSL began immediately after the conclusion of the 10th season. Traditionally held in the January-February window, the tournament faced scheduling challenges this year due to the Champions Trophy and will also coincide with the ICC World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently exploring alternative options for the tournament. One possibility was to hold the league in December this year, but various ongoing developments, such as the addition of new teams, finalizing the title sponsorship, and renewing broadcast and commercial contracts, make this scenario unlikely. Therefore, it is more feasible for the PSL to once again align with the IPL next year.
Final decisions regarding the scheduling of the 11th edition of PSL are expected to be made in the coming weeks. To stay updated on the schedule, fans can visit the official PSL 11 Schedule website.
