A meeting was held in Lahore to discuss the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 draft, where it was decided that the draft will not be held in Pakistan but abroad. The draft is expected to be announced on Friday, December 13. All six franchise holders were present at the meeting to strategize on how to further increase the popularity of PSL.

To elevate the league’s global presence, it was agreed that this year’s draft will take place in either England or Dubai. This decision comes as PSL will clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time, leading franchise owners to make efforts to improve the league by attracting big-name players. Some renowned players have already expressed interest in playing in PSL, showcasing a significant milestone for the league.

Due to the IPL clash, many top players have been picked in the IPL draft and will not be available for PSL. However, this presents an opportunity for teams to secure influential players who were not selected in the IPL draft. The meeting also focused on approaching the England Cricket Board (ECB) to request NOCs for English players to participate in PSL 10, despite the ECB’s reluctance to allow players to participate in franchise leagues that conflict with their domestic schedules.

The meeting concluded with the confirmation that the PSL draft will take place in December, with an announcement expected soon. Cricket fans can look forward to seeing big-name players joining PSL this year, making the league even more thrilling and prestigious.
