Mahipal Lomror no longer finds the bidding process during the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction as exciting as he did when he was younger. Now at 25, his focus has shifted from the money to which team can best contribute to his career development. This change in perspective came from conversations with his father, Krishan Kumar Lomror. Lomror, who was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs. 1.70 crores, values opportunities to play and grow over higher paychecks. Despite earning a maximum of Rs 95 lakhs per season in the past, he was confident in securing a contract this year due to his recent form in domestic cricket and previous season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Lomror has improved his batting skills over the years, especially against pace, and aims to make the most of every opportunity he gets. Currently leading Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Lomror has learned valuable leadership skills from observing senior players in the IPL. He acknowledges the pressure he felt in not matching the success of his U-19 World Cup batchmates but now focuses on improving his game and staying committed to his goals. Lomror emphasizes the importance of giving his best effort and staying focused on his journey, rather than worrying about selection outcomes.
