Prasidh Krishna, the right-arm pacer for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2025 season, has been in outstanding form, taking 16 wickets in eight matches with an economy rate of 7.29. After missing the last two IPL seasons due to injury, Prasidh has made a strong comeback and formed a formidable partnership with Mohammed Siraj and Ishant Sharma in the bowling attack. His favorite wicket so far has been dismissing KL Rahul, a player he has shared the dressing room with in domestic cricket.
Prasidh credits his success to the guidance of Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra and his improved preparation and decision-making on the field. He hopes to be part of the Test squad for the upcoming series against England and believes he can perform well in all formats of the game.
The decision to allow bowlers to apply saliva on the ball in the IPL 2025 season has also proven beneficial for Prasidh and other bowlers, as it helps in getting more purchase off the wicket and slowing down the opposition’s run rate. Overall, Prasidh’s performances have been crucial in Gujarat Titans’ success this season, as they currently lead the points table.
