The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to resume on May 17, coinciding with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, as confirmed by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The BCCI announced the revised schedule for the IPL, with the league stage venues already revealed. The PSL will kick off with Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings on May 17 and conclude on May 25 with the final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The decision to resume both leagues followed a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, leading to the resumption of cricket activities. The PSL will feature 8 remaining matches, but it remains uncertain if overseas stars like Daryl Mitchell and David Warner will return for the tournament. This is the first time the PSL and IPL will overlap, with the PSL originally scheduled to end on April 18. The PCB cited rising tensions between India and Pakistan and players’ well-being as reasons for the earlier suspension of the PSL. The Emirates Cricket Board declined to host the remaining PSL matches in Dubai.
