All-round cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy is set to make a comeback for Sunrisers Hyderabad after recovering from a side strain that had sidelined him since January. The 21-year-old from Andhra Pradesh recently completed all the fitness tests, including the yo-yo test, at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and has been given the green light by the team physios.

Nitish’s last appearance for India was in the first T20I against England in January, where he didn’t get a chance to bat or bowl. He was ruled out of the subsequent matches and the series due to the side strain. Despite the setback, Nitish showed promising performances during India’s tour of Australia, including a memorable 114 in the fourth Test in Melbourne.

The young cricketer was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 6 crore ahead of the previous year’s auction, after impressing with his batting skills and strike rate of 143 in the previous season. He is expected to join the SRH squad soon as they kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against Rajasthan Royals on March 23 in Hyderabad.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Nitish’s return to the field, and his presence is sure to boost Sunrisers Hyderabad’s performance in the upcoming matches.
