Mumbai Indians, a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has made some changes to their squad for the ongoing season. English wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow has been brought in to replace all-rounder Will Jacks. In addition to Bairstow, Charith Asalanka and Richard Gleeson will be stepping in for Corbin Bosch and Ryan Rickelton, who are leaving for national duties.
Bairstow, a seasoned player with 287 caps for England, played a key role in the national team’s victory at the ODI World Cup in 2019. Asalanka, currently serving as Sri Lanka’s captain in the ODI and T20I formats, has represented his country 134 times in international cricket. On the other hand, Gleeson has featured in six T20Is for England and is known for his skills in the death overs.
